Mountain Closets & Design was founded in 2002. Owner Dan Higbee has over 30 years of experience in the custom storage industry and took full ownership of the company in 2022.

Do you offer a free design consultation?

Yes! We offer a complimentary in-home design consultation. Our designer will assess your space, discuss your goals, and create a 3D rendering for your review — all at no cost or obligation.

Do your products come with a warranty?

Yes. Mountain Closets & Design backs all products with an industry-leading lifetime guarantee. If a cabinet product ever fails during normal use, we replace it free of charge. Period.

We offer custom solutions for virtually every room: walk-in closets, reach-in closets, kids' closets, garage storage systems (cabinetry, workbenches, slatwall, flooring), mudrooms, pantries, home offices, Murphy wall beds, laundry rooms, entertainment centers, and unique spaces.

Do you use 3D design software?

Yes. Mountain Closets uses computer-generated 3D design technology so you can see exactly what your space will look like before anything is installed. You can review and request changes in real-time.

What product brands does Mountain Closets use?

Mountain Closets & Design is the exclusive Organizers Direct dealer in the Aspen area and is ranked #1 in the US. For garage flooring we use Swisstrax interlocking tiles, and for garage wall storage we use StoreWALL slatwall systems.
